Treatment F.A.Q.
SculptLift
Can Face Sculpting Massage replace Beauty Injectables ?
- Long term use of Injectables can cause face muscles to atrophy, in other words, degenerate, lose strength and mass. Sculpting stimulates all muscles in your face and over a course of treatments, especially if stepping away from using injections, SculptLift not only improves and restores tone, collagen and elastin production are improved, with individual muscle strengthening is gained.
What part of the face benefits most from facial sculpting?
- While our 8-Zone Face Sculpting Massage is complex, to incapsulate all the facial muscles beyond the scalp line and deeper in the face, the best results show in the neck, jaw line, cheeks, nasolabial folds, and raised forehead/eye brow/eye fold. If you have an area of concern, the 8-Zone technique cares for your facial priorities and outcomes.
How soon will I see results and how long lasting are they?
- Results can be seen and felt immediately after your first SculptLift Massage! Effects last approx a week after your first session. Facial Massage has a cumulative effect due to consistent muscle stimulation. Self Massage along with Fortnightly/ Monthly maintenance sessions can help results last 6 – 12 months.
Is this a one-off treatment or can I do more?
- Your personal requirements vs expectations may differ, so we discuss this as part of your treatment. Providing no contraindications, SculptLift is safe on a weekly or fortnightly basis, with no recovery downtime. A one-off is a great option if you have an event, or to see how effective the treatment is! We recommended a course of 6 appointments close together, with monthly maintenance depending on your own outcome requirements.
Can I get beauty injectables and get a SculptLift?
- Please inform Paula of any injectables you’ve had! A stand-down period of 4 weeks post-injection is required to avoid a Botox Breakdown. Lip fillers may require 6 weeks post-injection, however Lips can be excluded from your SculptLift. Please discuss with your provider.
- In cases of large amounts of Facial Botox undertaken, you are recommended to avoid Face Sculpting Massage until the effects of Botox have ceased, to avoid premature dissolving/breaking down of Botulinum Toxin in soft tissue.
The TMJ Clinic
Can this be a one-off treatment?
- This depends on your personal requirements, if your TMJD is acute or chronic, in a flare up, etc. Weekly treatments of 3-6 weeks are initially recommended, to assist changes in long-term jaw habit patterning.
- A full consult is required for your first treatment to ensure a safe, appropriate treatment, and any follow up includes a verbal reassessment to adjust for any changes.
Will this flare up my pain?
- Our approach mandates full communication between you and the therapist. If discomfort or pain occurs during treatment, it’s essential to provide feedback to ensure the therapist can change their approach. While we strive for comfort, the joints, muscles, and nerves of the parasympathetic nervous system can be unpredictable while they integrate treatment changes, potentially leading to temporary pain flares.
- As the TMJ is constantly in use with speech, eating, and drinking, self-awareness and self care is crucial to aid muscle realignment and restore optimal function following the days after treatment.
